THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROJECT

Built by NEXUS AI.
Open to everyone.

Zela began as an infrastructure layer at NEXUS AI. We’re sharing it as an open-source project for people who want a clearer way to run their own servers.

NEXUS AIIMAGINE IT. MAKE IT REAL.

FROM BUILDING APPS TO RUNNING THEM

Good ideas need
a place to run.

NEXUS AI is an AI app builder and full-stack deployment platform. It brings building, verification, preview, managed services, and deployment into one workflow.

Zela focuses on one part of that bigger picture: operating Docker applications across your own Linux workers. It is available separately, under Apache 2.0.

You can self-host Zela without a NEXUS AI account. If you prefer a hosted manager, the project also provides a NEXUS AI deployment path.

WHAT SHAPES THE PROJECT

Practical by design.
Open by choice.

01

Keep ownership
with the operator.

Your servers and your deployment choices. Self-host the manager, choose your workers, and keep the source within reach.

02

Make the work
visible.

Readable status, tracked operations, measured usage, and errors you can inspect. Accepted work should have an outcome you can check.

03

Give people
a choice of interface.

A browser for a clear overview, a CLI for repeatable work, and MCP tools for assistants—with explicit permissions behind each.

AN OPEN INVITATION

Help shape what
comes next.

Report a problem, improve a guide, review the code, or contribute a change. Useful feedback makes the project better for the next person.

Open source.
